Chest Pain
Ponca City Oklahoma Chiropractor Dr. Leon Bristow talks about the causes of chest pain besides a heart problem. I have had many people come to me after going to their medical doctor for pain in the chest. The medical doctor did all the standard blood tests, x-rays, EKG's for a heart problem and could not find any thing wrong with the persons heart. A heart problem is the most import problem to be concerned with when you have pain in the chest. When you have pain in the chest and a heart problem has been ruled out there are two common problems that often get over looked. These two problems are fairly common. The first problem is a rib problem. When a rib gets out of its proper place it can cause intense pain in the chest. Breathing is often painful and it may be impossible to take a deep breath. This rib problem can often happen when a person coughs or sneezes do to the sudden severe contractions involved one or more ribs may get popped out of its proper place. There can also be any number of other reasons for a rib being out of place and causing the chest to hurt. This rib problem is a very common problem that causes pain in the chest. This problem normally responds to proper treatment very quickly through the use of low force adjustment to the ribs to bring them back into proper alinement. Once the rib is back in place the person can then take a full deep breath with little or no pain in the chest. The other problem that can cause pain in the chest is actually damage to the chest muscles. While it is not the most common problem that causes the chest to hurt, it often goes undetected. When a problem goes undetected it makes it difficult to impossible to treat. Finding and properly treating damaged tissue is one of the areas I specialize in. If the chest muscles get damaged then every time you breath it is like picking a scab, you are putting a pull on the damaged tissue which causes the chest to hurt. Helping the body to repair damaged tissue is a critical part of eliminating chest pain if this is your problem.
