Frozen Shoulder

Ponca City Oklahoma Chiropractor Dr. Leon Bristow talks about what a frozen shoulder. It is a rather complex problem. It is where many or even most of the tissues in the shoulder area start adhering to each other. It is where the tissues are starting to stick to each other. This causes the person to have less movement in their shoulder joint. The more tissues that adhere to each other the less movement one has. This also is often a very painful problem as well. The more tissues that adhere to each other the less a person tends to move which leads to the problem getting even worse as this allows even more tissues to adhere to each other the less the person moves. It can get so bad that the person can barley move their arm at all sometimes. The longer the person lets this problem go before seeking treatment the worse this problem is likely to be. This problem is often started by a fall or injury to the shoulder at some point. This is a serious and significant problem and one that can take quite some time to improve. There are only two ways that I know of to free up these adhesions. One is the fast way and the other is the slow way. The fast way involves an orthopedic surgeon knocking the person out and then forcefully breaking up the adhesions with rapid forceful movements. The other method is much slower but often has very good results. It involves both home exercises and in office work to slowly break down the adhesions a little at a time. This is the approach I use in my office normally has good results.
