Muscle Spasm

Ponca City Chiropractor Dr Leon Bristow talks about a muscle spasm. A spasm is normally considered a sudden involuntary contraction of a muscle. The contraction can be sustained or alternate on and off. This type of problem is also refereed to as a muscle cramp. This is usually a very painful condition. The most sever spasm commonly happens at night in the calf’s or feet , the person wakes up in sever pain and can not move the muscle when this happens. This condition is most commonly a nutritional deficiency and is usually corrected with the proper nutritional supplement. One can also get cramps from working out side in the heat in the summer and sweating a lot. The sweat pulls electrolytes out of the system and when done in large amounts it pulls the electrolytes out much faster than they are being replaced which causes the cramping. This is corrected by increasing the salt intake. Muscle cramps are a condition that is treatable.
