Neuritis

Ponca City Oklahoma Chiropractor Dr. Leon Bristow talks about neuritis. In Seedman’s online medical dictionary it says it is the “Inflammation of a nerve”. If we look at the two parts of the word we find that neur means nerve and itis means inflamation or irritation. Simply put it is a nerve that is inflamed or irritated. What does this all mean? It usually means pain for the person that has it. An inflamed or irritated nerve is usually a painful nerve. It is a nerve that is in trouble. The word does not tell us what is causing the inflamation or irritation to the nerve. The inflamation or irritation can be caused by a long list of problems, so there is no accurate way to determine the problem without an examination. Most of these causes can be found and corrected with the proper exam and care.
